Welcome to our Playground

Port Adelaide and the Port River is the home of the Port River Dolphins.
Forming part of the world renowned ADELAIDE DOLPHIN SANCTUARY, the Port River is one of a handful of places in the world where wild dolphins live within a major city. Located only 12 kilometres from the City of Adelaide in South Australia, the amazing wild inhabitants of the sanctuary, numbering about 40 Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins, provide an unlimited source of photographic subject matter.
The images presented in this website attempt to chronicle the lives of these beautiful wild dolphins, and include dolphins jumping, dolphins tailwalking, dolphins fishing, dolphins interacting with pelicans and even injured dolphins and pelicans.
Profits from sale of images and prints go to the Australian Marine Wildlife Research & Rescue Organisation (AMWRRO) to assist in the preservation of local wildlife.
If you are planning a visit to see the Port River Dolphins, we recommend the "Dolphinview at Nautica" luxury waterfront apartment with balcony overlooking the river.

“Debbie Huxtable has captured stunning images of Port Adelaide and its wildlife. Her portfolio includes many beautiful shots of dolphins and birds, but also examples of the many threats wildlife faces in the area: Debbie photos are not only beautiful, they are educational too.”
